Deephaven Capital Management

The project began with space selection advice. This secured a 1,900 sq ft office space with excellent harbour views, on the 56th floor of a prime Central District building, at an attractive rent.

The client is a US-headquartered hedge fund. In response to the client brief for a maximum of 16 trading positions, our team developed three alternative plans, each providing varying degrees of flexibility for future growth.

To capitalise on the stunning views and natural light of the space, the client expressed a desire for a pleasant working environment. At the same time, it had to be functional- facilitating both individual and group work, encouraging high productivity and communication (both visual and aural).

The Conference Room addresses the client’s and designer’s shared appreciation for refined ambient lighting, conducive to a variety of meeting settings: from board meetings to casual client discussions to video conferencing.

Space planning, technology, furniture selection and detailed finishes interfaces underscore the designer’s insistence on fully integrating the technological and physical needs of the client’s operation.
