Cantor Fitzgerald

The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong, 2008

One Space worked closely with this global financial services firm to develop a “step change” in their Hong Kong trading floor environment as they relocated from Two IFC to The Center. With growing market visibility in Asia, and with a considerable increase in floor space, Cantor Fitzgerald took this opportunity to develop a strong visual identity underpinned by a robust space planning strategy to accommodate growth and change.

Our brief was to design a highly productive trading floor over a large floor plate of challenging geometry. The key was in recognising how communication patterns varied amongst different business groups, designing appropriately resilient data and power systems, and allowing senior management to survey various parts of the business.

Our strategic layout plan is designed to cater for this company’s anticipated exceptionally fast headcount growth over the 3-year lease period. Workplace functionality is tailored to meet the differing business group requirements, whilst regulatory controls and staff amenities counterpoint the flexible open planning.

Working in collaboration with the client’s own in-house technology provider, our team designed the 400 sq ft data centre and audiovisual installations to provide exceptional diversity and resilience.
